The new 100,000 square feet distribution center will stock UMG’s tile products, while the existing 81,000 square feet location has been redesigned and renovated to focus on the market for slabs. The new facility will enable UMG to provide a broader inventory of both tile and slab products to its customers in the Northeast, New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Mid-West regions. Concurrent with the opening, UMG has also completed a new state-of-the-art 25,000 square feet tile and slab showroom in Edison, encompassing over 350 colors of natural stone. Manu Shah, the CEO of UMG, noted, “From a geographical and distribution perspective, we can efficiently distribute product to approximately 50% of the U.S. population from New Jersey.
