Opens State-of-the-Art Distribution Center in Austell, Georgia
UMG Toledo (“UMG”), a leading distributor of natural stone, announced today the opening of its new state-of-the-art showroom in Austell, Georgia. This completes the launch of its new distribution facility dedicated to the Southeast region. The 175,000 sq. ft. building, which is one of the largest stone centers under a single roof in all of North America, evidences the company’s commitment to the Southeast region.
The facility carries the full range of UMG products, from slabs, tiles and landscaping products, including granites, marbles, slates, travertines, limestones, and onyx, to glass and stone mosaics, porcelain tiles and quartz surface slabs. The showroom displays the entire UMG product line and includes detailed information on each product, merchandising vehicles, and numerous installations. The distribution center has a total stocking capacity of 15,000 slabs and 6 million sq. ft. of tiles. The facility houses six cranes and a host of other capital equipment to ensure efficient operations. In addition to the infrastructure, there are over fifty employees available to service UMG’s growing customer base.
