I was impressed with the great customer service when I initially made my purchase. However when I called and emailed, and even sent pictures, on some issues there was push back. When they agreed to send someone out and look at my issues, they corrected the most obvious but said others were acceptable. One of the issues was some pitting/gouges within the first couple weeks, which still continues to happen. The first time they came out they did a repair and said if it happened again to just call. When I emailed and called again, because there were more spots of pitting/gouges, I was told that this is common in natural stone. When I pressed the issue, they said they would come out one more time and after that I would have to pay $250 per hour for staff to come out. They did come out again and fix some spots and again told me this happens in natural stone. Mind you, this is multiple spots of pitting/gouges in the first three months of installation. This pitting is very visible, people notice it and point it out to me. I am sorry, but this is anything but common. I know many people that have granite countertops and this does not happen. It is also just happening on one of the several pieces that were installed. I looked at every store in Toledo and then some for the right countertop as this was very important to me. It is very disappointing.
In reference to your response . . . I am not sure what stone you are referring to but my stone has a polish feel, not a “rock” feel. Both times I came to view this stone, my sisters were with me and we asked if there was anything wrong with the stone or if it was being discontinued, and were told no, that you had just purchased an overabundance of it. We even asked if we could see the pieces behind the front one and it were told they were all the same. It was never said that this stone had more of a “rock” feel, as it does not.
And just to be clear, the first time they came out was because one of the pieces was not cut right and had gaps on the side, they did fix a pit at that time. The second time they came out was to install the new piece, and they did fix another spot at that time. The third time was due to multiple pits that had occurred. Which again, I find hard to believe that this is common when it is only happening on one piece of several that was installed.

Huge selection of slabs, colors and materials. Great service from Jessica. She was knowledgable, and courteous. Nick was our installer and was so kind, communicated all information to us on our slab and went above and beyond for us.

I chose UMG after price shopping in the area. They were the straight forward to deal with and professional. They even came back out when I forgot to have them drill a hole, at no charge!

I made a trip to Perrysburg From Lima to order some granite counter tops, that was Dec 31 and still no countertops. I had bought a sink I wanted to install so 2 or 3 weeks later I get a call from my contractor saying they can't find the measurements for that sink so now I take the sink to them and leave it so that makes 2 trips. Now it's Feb 19th the wife called and talked to Amanda and she said they were still in fabrication and again to call my contractor and he said the same thing. So in ending Amanda my contractor isn't paying for them I AM. Not pleased at all with the service so far.

Outstanding experience from the very beginning. Jessica of the sales team made us feel very comfortable and showed us our options. She allowed us to take our time looking over the various colors of granite. Their estimator was also courteous and professional. Their 2 installers were also professional and cleaned up after the installation of the new countertops. Very happy that we chose them over the other companies near Toledo.

We were looking to replace the kitchen counter tops. Wow I am glad we stopped at Universal Marble and Granite. We thought we could not afford granite and were so wrong. From our first visit everyone was accommodating and helpful. We decided on that visit to order and schedule our new countertop install. No pressure sales, great demo and install team. Love the new counter tops. We will recommend UMG to anyone that has countertop replacement in their future.

I was so excited to get my new countertops from Universal Marble and Granite. The process was easy and the staff was knowledgable.
I purchased a unique color in granite that was far less expensive and nicer than any thing the big box home improvement stores could offer.
The measurement staff was accurate and professional and the installation crew was quick and tidy.
